What is mugs & more?
Three Taiwanese girls walked into a café and walked out with a plan: to start sharing our experiences, our thoughts, and our words with the world. Each week, a topic will be selected, and all three of us will create content based on the selected topic.
The gals behind mugs & more:
Hey y’all! I’m Emily--writer, poet, artist, activist, student, comic book aficionado, queen of sarcasm and memes. I’m that person who would grab their phone regardless of the time and place, and start jotting down my thoughts on the notes app--which, then, often turns into stuff I loosely define as “poetry”. I have a habit of spontaneously collaborating with like-minded friends on personal projects, and that’s basically how mugs & more came to be: three friends who are similar yet different, who all share some interest in writing and café-hopping, who are all excited to share our worlds with you. Welcome to our world :)
I’m Josephine, but that’s a mouthful, so Jo is fine. If Emily is that person whose spontaneous off-the-bat artistic creations can be loosely defined as “poetry”, then I’m that person whose culinary fuck-ups can be loosely described as “baking.” And I bake. A lot. When I’m not baking, I’m inhaling novels or I’m writing — not poetry, no, just prose. Writing-wise, I’m still looking for my niche, but for now, I’d say I’m that person who sits at a window seat in a cafe and quietly judges everyone as they walk by. I’m that person you go to for dry humor and curt commentary. When I’m in a good mood, I might spout something romantic, you know, just to give the page a change of scenery. Hm… sounds about write.
And me? Jady. I barely identify as a writer. But because there are way too many parts of me, I’d love to see how mugs at coffee shops with these two girls can take on an exploration of what I have to share. This would be a space for sips of excitement, appreciation, adventures, open thoughts, and more in my mug.
So please, feel at home. Sit with us, or maybe take a sip.
Here are our mugs,
and more.
